A direction of purity

Many of you already know that during the summer I summarised all my thinking and praying and reading about relationships into a set of seven hopefully biblical principles (which I've now extended to eight). My plan is that I'm now going to blog on them over the next few weeks to challenge myself to really live them! Rather than just give them lip-service.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that we have an amazing opportunity to be completely different to the rest of the world in the area of relationships. We can exibit a whole different set of priorities and values, centred firmly on Christ and the gospel.

...so over the next couple of weeks you'll see posts about the following principles -
1. Adopt a direction of purity
2. No relationships until spiritually, emotionally etc. ready for marriage
3. Do not pursue a relationship, pursue God
4. Remain pure for the husband God may give you.
5. Do not seek a counterfit one-ness
6. Protect other people's hearts
7. Only enter a relationship with a guy I trust to lead me well
8. Make the most of the singleness God has given me.

I don't pretend to have it exactly right with these, but they challenge me to live in a more biblical way, which can't be bad.
